WITNESS
OF A GLORIOUS PAST

Residenza al Corso is located in Via del Corso on the second floor of Palazzo Bracci.
Pietro Bracci is the sculptor that the whole world admires, without perhaps knowing his name, when contemplating the splendid marble group of Oceanus with his sea horses and his tritons, in the famous Trevi Fountain.

The famous German poet GOETHE also lived inside this prestigious building during his stay in Italy from 1786 to 1788. On its façade you can see the marble plaque that the Municipality of Rome, on the instructions of Domenico Gnoli, had affixed in 1872 to commemorate Wolfgang Goethe’s memorable stays in Rome. In the building, the German Ministry of Culture has decided to open the only museum outside of Germany managed by the German state with the name of Goethe House.
